Matthew Murphy completed the intensive Fine Furniture Production course in Gortahork, Co Donegal in 1994.Matthew then set about establishing Claragh Fine Furniture in his native Millstreet, Co Cork, with the goal of creating premium quality furniture for the discerning customer.Since then Matthew has developed a loyal and expanding customer base and the handcrafted furniture produced at Claragh Furniture adorns many private homes, hotels, receptions and churches throughout the country. Each commission is individually designed in close collaboration with the client thereby ensuring that all aesthetic and practical requirements are fulfilled.Only then is the piece handcrafted in our workshop with meticulous attention to detail throughout. We work with a large variety of native and exotic timbers and veneers .Our timber suppliers are covered under the Forest Products Chain of Custody Certification thereby guaranteeing that your commissioned piece comes from a well managed, legal and sustainable source.
