Bar & Hotel Stocktaking Service I operate a stocktaking service for the Bar and Hotel Industry with over 20 years experience within the Licenced Trade. In the current climate it has never been as important to control costs.Stocktaking is essential in understanding Profit Margins that should be obtained as well as identifying Theft or Stock Loss due to Wastage or Short Deliveries. Using a Handheld Computer(with Barcode Scanner) linked to a weighing scales I scan over 90% of products and weigh all opened spirit bottles and kegs in a Bar thus eliminating any guesswork with the count.Food quantities and weights are also entered on Handheld Computer .All information is then transferred to Laptop Computer. When all Purchases/Credits/Transfers/Sales/PLU Quantities and Allowances are entered the following Reports are printed/emailed to client. "View Audit Trail Report" available immediately after count showing each item as it was counted. "Bar Summary Report" showing Surplus/Deficit ,Estimated & Actual GP% and Allowances for period. "Till Variance Report" showing Quantity and Retail differences between actual Stock Usage and Till Sales for every item sold. "Purchases/Credits/Transfer Summary Reports" for period. "Bar Stock Report" showing Cost/Selling Prices,Sales at Cost & Retail,Average Daily Sales and Days Stock held for every item sold. "Valuation Certificate" for stock on hand at date of stocktake. "Audit Report" summarising stocktake results and any recommendations going forward.
