Dr Freda Guiney graduated with an honours degree from University College Cork in 1999. After spending a number of years in the UK she returned to set up a dental practice in Ballincollig, Cork. She has a wealth of experience in general dentistry and also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. In 2009 Freda was awarded sensodyne sensitive dentist of the year, this is a national awards scheme that honours dentists who go above and beyond the call of duty to care for their patients or who strive to make anxious and nervous patients feel comfortable in the dentists chair. To quote chairman of the judging panel Dr. Barry Harrington “ In the end we make judgements on the winning dentists all of whom are superb ambassadors for our profession and our decisions are final.
